Footprints was founded in June of 2000 by three scientists at University
College London, the UK’s largest research university and Europe’s leader in
Internet research. The company, with headquarters in Reston, Virginia, and
offices in Los Angeles and London, England, is financed by venture
capitalists Sussex Place Investment Managers, London.

Qualifications
Low-level hacking experience writing code in a range of languages and on a
range of systems: (i.e. C/C++ ~ PERL ~ Linux, rather than a Java ~ VB ~
Windows person). Experience writing HTML with CGI and PERL interfaces.
Working knowledge of professional audio equipment, TV post-production, VTRs,
ISDN codecs (Dolby Fax, Telestream, Zephyr, APT), AD/DA converters, mixers,
time codes, etc. Experience with streaming compression, Internet servers,
network programming, sockets API, Winsock, SMPTE 305M Serial Data Transport
Interface. Experience with digital signal processing (DSP), RTP, RTSP, SIP,
MPEG, H.323, or H.261 helpful. Most interested in a person with Extreme
Programming background or inclinations. Must be willing to work open,
collaborative, mutually supportive environment.
