There are lotsa effect in Csound orcs. Somebody could convert them to C.
There are good quality (or close) reverbs too.

GNOME stuff only optionally. The editor should work in fvwm or KDE,
for example.

Heyy, what wrong with brainwave synth? Were it only useful tool in that

Why?

It was a waste of time! The key people who were able to code didn't listen
to others (200+ persons). I spend months in that list waiting for that
somebody could implement my ideas --- many others did the same.
