As I described in some earlier mail, you don't even need that, if you
want to get away easy. Converter plugins and comparing data type
codes for ports when trying to connect is all you need - that leavs
it to the user to throw in converter plugins where needed. (If you
*really* don't want to hack a few lines of code to automate that...)
