I applaud this kind of thinking. I remember the fun I had with the
Serge synthesizer in my college's electronic music studio: you could
plug *any* output into *any* input. So if you wanted to do crazy
things like control a VCO with the output of a VCF (fed by a noise
source) whose freq. was controlled by an envelope follower which was
fed from a preamp fed by a microphone hung out the studio window...
you could.
I still have a tape of that sound somewhere. :)
