Hi!

Still alive, although it doesn't show much on the MuCoS site... :-(
Time to get working again!

What's going on with the related project and prototypes? (Benno,
Paul,...?)

I'm about to hack the softsynth up into separate files (compile time
"plugins"), and start using - and working on - the alpha MuCoS
headers. "100% event based communication" is the first approach I'll
try. That is, streams (or signals, or whatever you like to call them)
are implemented on top of the event system, rather than as a part of
the low level API. (Remember the "new buffer" event idea?) Perhaps
less efficient in cases where the "pass buffers as arguments"
approach would be sufficient, but far more flexible, and that without
the cost of added API complexity, or the overhead of buffer splitting
using extra function calls. :-) Sounds good in theory - now, let's see
what it actually looks like...
