Hi!
I've just made available some snapshots of aRts/MCOP. They will be updated
daily, so you can stop by from time to time and look how things are
taking shape. This is currently in a state where it might be interesting
for curious developers, to see how the new generation of aRts will work
internally.
For users, it's completely useless, unfortunately, as not even the GUI
exists, nor MIDI stuff, nor ... anything useful ;) It will take a few
more months to complete.
For developers, it might be interesting to see how the new CORBA-free
communication middleware works. That stuff is largely completed already.
It may also be interesting to see how easy plugins will be to implement
once things are done (look at synth_add_impl.cc or something like that),
and how natural flow capabilities integrate with the object model (look
at simplesoundserver_impl.cc).
Of course you are welcome to join development anytime, or make comments
of what could be done better.
However, as I said: it's far from being completed,... with that warning,
