RESEARCH POSITION IN MUSIC TECNOLOGY AT THE IUA-UPF
The Audiovisual Institute, IUA (http://www.iua.upf.es) is an
interdisciplinary center of the Pompeu Fabra University,
located in Barcelona, Spain, and dedicated to Research,
Education and Production in the area of new media technologies
applied to the Arts.
The Music Technology Group of the IUA (http://www.iua.upf.es/mtg)
is very active in the area of sound analysis and synthesis for
music and other multimedia applications. Specifically, the group
is working with spectral models and their application to synthesis,
processing, recognition, performance analysis and content-based
retrieval of audio.
This full time position will involve working closely with other
researchers of the Music Technology Group in the specific topic of
sound synthesis using spectral models. Applicants should have strong
technical skills in signal processing in the area of computer music
and demonstrable skills and experience in computer programming for
music (C++ under Windows NT or Linux).
Beginning date: April 1st 2000.
Duration of the contract: 12 months
Salary: According to background and experience.
