Don't know about their solution, but what I did under Win16 (70% of
the theoretical max transfer rate) was pretty easy. I guess FAT is
just too stupid to do anything but exactly what you tell it to...
:-) I just used big reads (few 100 kB), one track at a time, and did
the processing right in that thread. (No multithreading on Win16...
It could have been done in the IRQ context callback from the wave
audio driver, though.)
