Hi all,

I've spent some time today reading linux-kernel archives and I've
attempted to summarize the situation, with some useful links, in the
FAQ at http://www.linuxdj.com/audio/lad/faq.php3

Since a lot of the discussion is over my head, I would appreciate
corrections.

I did this because I think it might be useful to audio developers
new to the linux world (I believe there are some reading this list
currently).
