I'm certain that a lot of you saw that the Open Group released Motif under
an opensource license (just how open the license is is questionable, but
you at least get the source). Here is the slashdot article if you missed
it: http://slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=00/05/15/1229207&mode=thread.

I thought it might be nice to see how Snd compiled and ran with this so I
grabbed the Motif RPMs (what a funny concept), installed them on my RedHat
6.2 box, and recompiled Snd. It compiled without errors and runs quite
well - the Motif gui seems a little more polished than the Gtk one, but I
have no doubt that will change in the future. Here is a screenshot (with
a silly enlightenment theme that looks like the ugly solaris default just
for fun): http://gigue.peabody.jhu.edu/~karlmac/snd-shot.png. Hope this
helps those of you struggling to get Snd up and running.

Karl
