Hi all.

Very interesting reading over the past week!

And how much ram you have

You also mentioned that you like sliders. I have a friend using a
digital slider. Don't know what kind of connection it has but he has to
program it in hexadecimal code. Does anyone else use something like this
in Linux? I'm interested in the latency it gets. (I'll query my friend
too, sadly a Doze junkie;-(

IMHO It really is just a matter of time before the digital hardware
outspeeds analog.

Don't let lack of programming support hold you back;-) IMHO I think
most people are still trying to understand exactly where you are headed
. I am getting more excited every time I check in on the progress.

I fully agree. I thought the same thing about a digital turntable. My
brainwave was to dipense with the mouse as the controller and only use
the keyboard (for the mixer). I read the other day that pbd has alreay
made this kind of a program with Quasimodo(?). Are you implementing it
in Ardour?

ie. The mouse click grabs the mixer gui and all keypresses until
another gui is clicked on control the mixer.

pbd - You said some keys ( eg. H ) don't respond, but if the user is
willing to put in the small amount of time to find out which ones then
that isn't an issue. I assume most Linux users would be willing to do
that.

Also. What is the possibility that a notebook can use a ps/2 mouse and a
mousepad at the same time? I think this would be really fun and useful
for live performance. Albeit pretty hard on the carpal tunnels.

Patrick.
