Studio Vision Pro offers this feature. They call it Strip Silence. It
is basically an edl based noise gate that breaks a soundfile into
regions by looking for sections of audio below a threshold. The user
parameters are threshold, minimum time of audio below threshold, attack
and release times, and a zero crossing option to prevent pops.
