perhaps you already noticed it:
http://news.cnet.com/news/0-1006-200-3799265.html?tag=st.ne.1002.bgif.ni
Basically it's the windows version + winelib so that it runs on linux ...
(I can already predict that it will be slow as a crawl, a ressource hog and
crash-prone :-) )
(BTW: from what I heard the app still uses windoze-paths: C:\dir\file.mp3 ,
linux users will certainly love this ... )
Has someone already tested it ?
Once our PR site goes live, apps such this will get objective reviews which will
help to demistyify some the dozen pressreleases that come out when a
commercial vendor "enters" the linux world by shipping a windows app + winelib.
Anyway it's good that commercial companies enter the audio world but
we want NATIVE software and possibly versions for architectures
other than x86. (poor linux-PPC users ... :-) )
cheers,
Benno.
