there are many such cards. start on the ALSA web site
(www.alsa-project.org), and check out the soundcard matrix. for
starters, the RME 96 series and the Midiman Delta series should be
quite appealing. if you want > 8 channels, the RME Hammerfall might be
quite compelling, though you'll need external a/d and d/a converters.
