The problem happened using 2.2.18.
It only happens when I excessively write... and delete.
I just upgraded to 2.4.3, and haven't had time to check it out yet. I
upgraded, because I have the chance to develop a linux driver for theTascam
428. I have been told, by someone at Tascam, that he'll give out any info
that he is allowed to. I don't know anything about USB, but, hey, it'd be
SOOO cool to have the 428 working on linux, and be able to hook it up to
control the project I've taken over->
