The API's haven't change substantially in months. Thats after a period
of intense development activity to refine a better, flexible, stable
API. Nobody ever said the 0.9 API was ready. If you didn't want to
work with an unstable API you should never have used it.

There have only ever been 2 versions: ALSA 0.5 and ALSA "current". The
"current" version has never been declared stable. When it is, you can
be sure that it will not change again, just as the ALSA 0.5 API has
remained stable over a couple of years or more. All apps written for
ALSA 0.5 still work, if they were written correctly before.
