there's a link to it from Dave's O'Reilly article, referencing the LAD
posting which contained it.

we still haven't agreed on how the LADSPA plugin would provide the XML
data to the host. since this is not the only GUI mechanism under
consideration, its not as simple as adding

               const char *xml_gui;

Actually, no program uses it in any way at this time. And no plugin
provides a GUI definition using it either. Its a bit of a
chicken-and-egg situation. I'd be happy to get a Gtk-- backend going,
though I can't say it would be my #1 priority right now.
