mackie are not going to be happy campers :) on the other hand, i don't
see a nonlinear, nondestructive editor here, at least not a
realistically usable one.
check out the BS about "disk writing techniques". this is why i like
working for myself. if i was a self-respecting programmer working for
alesis and somebody in marketing wrote this kind of crap about what i
had written, i'd feel sick to my stomach. this sentence is a real gem:
"Using this method of writing, seek and play functions are much
faster than existing systems - under 100ms - and data fragmentation
which can cause crashing, is greatly diminished."
100ms eh ? Whoa, slow down there speedy gonzalez.
