        - realtime recording/playback
        - effect processing
        - how to assign control streams to fx params during processing
        - multitrack recording
        - mixing multiple tracks (w/ effects)
        - cut, copy and paste
        - splicing channels from multichannel files
        - using effect presets and LADSPA plugins
