Yes Jazz++ does the same thing(a waveform editor for a sequence of
controller events)

I was thinking along the lines of having controller values being shown
in parallel, as you describe,
but also with consideration of what the controller actually does, so a
pan controller would have a pan graphical representation, bend controllers
bend representation etc.

all controllers arent well defined, so for those the normal waveform
would do.

but i think it would be possible to do a more compact and visually
intuitive way of displaying and editing controllers.
