hello folks !

there have been a couple of html-formatted or other microsoftishly
enhanced mails on this list. if there is a consensus that we are all
ascii mail fans at heart, i'll add a note to the lad page. while
we're at it, what is the recommended line wrap that will be readable
for most users ? 68 chars or something ?
