This is certainly possible. But if its true, then I think you should
have a good explanation for why Steinberg's approach (3 different
API's for different tasks) was taken. Was it lack of time? Lack of
concern for the future? Stupidity?
When I look at other audio application environments, I see
monoliths+plugins. I this just a hangover from the lack of The Unix
Way(TM) on Windows and MacOS? Or is it based on some real
understanding of how best to go about this?
