Spent the last month designing the SASL RTP packetization (SASL is the
control language for Structured Audio that's more closely coupled to
the SAOL programming language), and implementing it -- I thought it
would be good to do the SASL design before amending the MIDI design,
to try out some of the ideas we talked about on the LAD list in the
SASL design first (for example, the SASL design allows multiple
SASL statements packed into a single RTP packet, each with its own
offset from the packet timestamp). So, the hope is I'll be returning
to the MIDI packetization soon with some new ideas to try ...
