plm is designed as a *hardware* patcher/router. unless the author had
unusually flexible insight, it routes between hardware devices, not
virmidi ports. it might be willing to route to a FIFO, in which case
it could be used to do routing to another software application, but
you'd have to take a look at it up close to find out.
