Hello, this is my first post to this list. If it's off-topic, I apologize,
but I figured someone in here would be able to help me.
I've got an mp3 player in my car that plays from a cd. I've burned mp3s that
work on my computer and even other mp3 players onto multiple cds with
multiple burn techniques), and I get cracks/skips/garbles consistently with
certain songs. It sounds like a misencoding problem, but as mentioned
before, the encoding has been verified to be okay. So the problem is
obviously in my car player's decoder.
My question: I'm looking for a linux tool that can analyze the mp3s before I
burn, so I know in advance whether it will work or not. Fixing them this way
would be even better.
If there isn't such a tool, I would like to write one myself, so I would
appreciate any links to good places to read about audio programming in
general.
Thanks for your time.
