Doug Wyatt posted something on friday to coreaudio-api, that
seemed to indicate that a candidate build for sample code for
audio units exists, and should be out the door in a week if
things go well. See this thread:

He replies a few levels into it. You need to validate with
archives/archives to read it ...
Personally, I've been doing the OS X port bottom up for sfront:
first the CoreAudio HAL, now CoreMIDI is in progress. So I
actually haven't looked at AudioUnits myself yet ... I had
assumed it was ready for sfront to use, but maybe I'm wrong.
