I'm not either. Tubes don't do that.
Tube distortion is famous for emphasizing even harmonics, but
it certainly isn't *all* even harmonics.
A bit of googling turns up some oscilloscope shots of
tube clipping such as these:

Notice that while the clipping is certainly asymmetrical,
it's certainly NOT one-sided.
This is also worth considering, by a guy who's put a lot
of time into building analog (solid-state) tube amp
