I have a MOTU Midi Timepiece AV (8in , 8out /SMPTE/ADAT/vide sync) ...
the driver for it and it's sister devices is still in testing but
progressing fairly well at this stage.ALthough I think this is only for
the parallel port versions.

I would probably recommend the MIDIMAN MIDISPORT series as they are
considered to be fully working and MIDIMAN/M_Audio is much more open
when it comes to giving out there tech info, so the ALSA drivers aren't
backwards engineered like the MOTU devices... This offers you everything
from a 2*2, 4*4 or 8*8 midi interface, utilising a USB port.
