Well, horrible ui, i just mean that the ui in SSM, the only modular i've used drums in is the UI for the drums when your are playing is a little less intuative, and quickly usable than http://www.e-phonic.com/vstplugins/drumatic.html or the hardware TR606 or TR808 though i understand your point of the usefulness of them for prototyping. Schematics, just the question i hoped you'd ask!!

TR909 schematic

TR909 manual

TR606 schematic

TR808 schematic, and tons of other stuff

I'm not really very educated about that kind of electronics, I built an amp once but that's about as far as it's gone, so some help at translating this into a usable softsynth would be wonderful. I'm mostly just keen on the bassdrum, snare and hats. Does anyone know of a site with some for of explination about how to go about emulating drumsynths or other synths with a modular or from schematics?
