Interesting idea. Storage, playout and audio routing should be very reliable,
and straightforward to do. I suspect that the tricky bits would be the
interfaces to the various pieces of outboard gear: XM radio, DirectTV
receiver, etc. You'd likely end up doing some major reverse engineering
here, as few or none of the relevant specs are available publicly AFAICT, at
least without an NDA.
