i think people get confused about the difference between a synthesizer
which can host plugins and a sequencer which can host plugins.
galan, ams, ssm and pd are fine programs but they aren't designed for
the same job that mimo wants to do. beast is quite close but (as he
already said) it's too cpu-heavy for him, and it doesn't focus on a
super-usable sequencer the way (eg) buzz does. it's no good telling
mimo to contribute code to beast (for example) unless you think the
authors will allow him to strip out the gui to make it run the way he
(mimo) wants.
(btw i hope i'm not putting words in his mouth, apologies if so.)
