I don't doubt that, (though some professionals are using them in thier
day-to-day jobs) but I think there are more serious tuning issues to be
addressed than these.

E.g. the gain recovery shape in the SC* compressors is all wrong, the
attack is a bit too gentle and the decay is much to quick to decay. This
makes them sound a bit inert, which is fine for clinical AGC, but not good
for the classic compressor effect in musical applications.

Getting the tuning to the level it's at now, with relatively little feedback
effects between the followers and gain curves took me a couple of days, so
it's no simple job to go in and change things. If at some point in the
future I'm not working 14 hour days and I can take a couple of days off I
might feel up to it. It's been on my TODO list for a few years.
