As I'm writing this I'm listening to a very nice piece of
music, written by composer who is well known and highly
regarded in this community. Yet I'm sure most of you would
disqualify it on 'aesthetic' grounds, or what you may think
are aestethic grounds.

Except under fascist regimes, or those controlled by
religious zealots, aesthetics are subjective.

Also note:

  aesthetics != hype_of_the_day
  aesthetics != political correctness
