I think you just need to enable ip_forward on the router:
See for instance http://www.yolinux.com/TUTORIALS/LinuxTutorialNetworking.html#FORWARDING

Then
you need to configure other machines to use the router as a gateway. In
my case I have to add the line GATEWAY=ip_of_the_router in
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0
