Interesting,
I tried getting it right, and got it to build on 64bit, but then got seg
faults as I wanted to work with layers.

I ended up building it in a 32bit chroot instead (which works fine).

But yes, this program was quite a surprise when I first saw it. Matti was an
exchange student here and used it in a project (he's also written the OSC
tutorials). Probably some of the work that you see on the Animata website is
made by him.
