Thanks Dave,

Mixing has never worked. API is too complicated, causing lots of
malfunctioning software. A zillion different ways to configure more
than one card (thats the distributions fault, but it should have been
handled by ALSA in the first place). Setting the default device
is complicated, and there are no good default device. Glitches.
