I'm able to confirm this.
If I play a virtual JACK MIDI instrument and a virtual ALSA MIDI
instrument, 'in unison' is 'in unison'.
I dunno if there is any measurable latency or jitter, but there's no
audible latency or audible jitter and no visible jitter for audio
recordings of those virtual instruments.
