in that case, you should probably measure the phase responses and make
sure they match closely, at least in the range where the ear relies on
phase cues (some sources cite up to 700hz, gerzon among them). above
that, wavelengths are getting so short (and the sweetspot so small) that
we can't rely on strictly constructive interference in most of the
listening area anyways...

i've never tried mixed settings myself, though.
