what command did you use? the -D switch requires the name of a valid
PCM device. examples might include:
hw:0
plughw:2,1
default
hw:DSP
aNameAddedToMyAsoundRCFile
ALSA is complaining (in its typically opaque way) that you gave it a
PCM device name that it doesn't know about.
