Yes, a computer music audio application often involves the use of MIDI as
well, but not the other way around (a MIDI sequencer used to drive
external instruments, for example).
Hence my question, but I see it seems that MIDI will be on-topic after
all.
MIDI and audio are really two entirely seperate things, that only happen
by circumstance to often be grouped together because they are both usefull
for making music.
