Grip also works with oggenc which comes with the vorbis-tools package
(if you are running an RPM based distro). I just encoded a CD using ogg
vorbis and it sounds pretty good. Its variable bit rate encoding too.
XMMS has a plugin to play ogg vorbis files so you wont even notice the
difference when it comes to playing them. Feels kind of nice using an
open free algorithm, especially when they have a logo of someone getting
ready to chop a snake :)
