This sounds silly and probaby not what you are looking
for. You can do slide shows in Kpresenter. I am sure
there is a star office program that can do the same
kind of things. Powerpoint like programs can do ok
slide shows. For syncing music to a silent movie on
the other hand I can't tell you what you don't already
know. I wish I new how to the video stuff in
broadcast/cinelerra. The documentation does not
describe how to sync it with stuff like gif animation.
In fact as far as I know it can't import gifs. It
must be converted to something else. I guess it
supports jpeg lists that it can animate somehow but
that sounds tedious and I don't know how to do it.
This is a good subject and I would like to see this
thread continue. I started a thread a while back
trying to learn how to compile cinelerra.
