I had to reply to this posting. This version is a huge update.

If you have been waiting patiently (and I have) for that fast, robust, no
frills editor for linux that really does its job without trying to be
everything to everyone (in the spirit of SGI's "soundeditor"), check out 1.3.
There are a lot of major changes since version 1.2, well beyond what is
enumerated in the announcement:

- support for 96k/24bit (I haven't tried 32 bit float yet)!
- added "fade in/out" with log, expon, linear
- added "save selection as" option for quick extraction from source files
- more complete transport controls
- added zoom features
- very fast, no interface lag
- configurable and open

And I really like the "waveform blowup" feature (in the right click menu). Why
zoom in to find a zero-crossing when you can always see right where you are in
little "magnifier" window? Great idea.

The waiting for an editor is over for me...back to work.

Kevin
