Nice work Nick, I just downloaded from CVS,
played around for a few minutes and had no
trouble coming up with some nice sounds.
I did also manage to lock my box while playing around with
a random sound... hmmm, maybe I should invest in a
watchdog card... let's face it, playing with all these
alpha/beta SCHED_FIFO apps can be a bit scary!
Couple of notes regarding presets:
1) The README that comes with the CVS version mentions an
amSynth.presets file, but it's not provided.
2) Something is screwy with the preset saving.
Here's an xterm where I looked at the preset file, started amSynth,
saved a single random setting, and looked again:
[pw_AT_kermit src]$ wc ~/.amSynth.presets
39 114 1182 /home/pw/.amSynth.presets
[pw_AT_kermit src]$ ./amSynth
[pw_AT_kermit src]$ wc ~/.amSynth.presets
4738 14337 130780 /home/pw/.amSynth.presets
