OK, so I'm going verrrry slow...
it's been over a month since I offered to develop a new,
dynamic, collaborative, buzzword-heavy linux sound software site.
Being back in school 8 hours a day 5 days a week is obviously taking
most of my attention, but I am slowly making progress.

I've just posted a very rough mockup of a "typical" application
listing. All such samples and tests will go up at:
http://www.slinkp.com/linux/soundapp_site_roughs

Be aware that most of the links do not point to anything yet.
I'll be gradually filling in pieces of the puzzle so you can
navigate around and get a feel for how I intend the site to work.

Comments welcome. I realize it's kinda ugly, I've not worked much
on the design. Mostly I want to know:
is there too much information? Not enough? What, if anything, is
missing?

Also, looking at it now, I'm tempted to do some reorganization of the
categories, which I lifted from Dave's site. I don't want to use frames,
because I like making it easy to bookmark and email URLs around,
but not using frames makes that category list look reeeeeally long.
I'm thinking it might be helpful to break it down into, say, 5 or 10
broader categories that can be expanded by clicking on them.

Thanks all,

Paul Winkler
