hi everyone,

thanks so much for your help earlier, i've rewritten my modules.conf as=20
suggested, and had a careful look at the IBM thinkpad utilities.
in the course of things, i managed to get the internal modem working (!) =
but=20
still havent got sound going!=20

im running kernel 2.5.9, under mandrake 8.2 with alsa in the kernel, and=20
installed alsa-libs, alsa-oss, alsa-tools and alsa-utils 0.9.0rc1.

these are the errors i'm getting - i am lost with this one... not sure at=
 all=20
what it means:
