This usually happens at this time of year and around New Years. Even
though the threads become longwinded it helps us to take stock of the
past 6 months or so and clean out the cobwebs so to speak.

Another good thing is that these discussions usually get a large
response from people who would otherwise feel out of their depth
technically but still want to join in the party. Which is a Good Thing (tm).

Maybe you're not in a summer climate at the mo but a lot of us round
here are and at least where I am it's too damn hot. Hence some of the
testy replies. It seems to be the same for others also :)
