I've downloaded flite-1.1-release.tar.bz2 and it looks potentially
really good, and a whole lot smaller than Festival.

But trying to make it, after a successful configure, I get the

I didn't spot anything obvious in looking at the code, but I'm wondering
if it's looking for some part of ALSA that I don't have. Any
suggestions?
