Will,
My feelings we're hurt a bit. Don't worry about that.

I'm sure by now that you've seen Dave Phillips' response saying at Akoff
worked under Wine? Does this vindicate my response even slightly? ;-)

There's a lot of great Windows stuff out there that we /can/ use. I do
it. Others do to. Let's stay focused on what's great about Linux. This is
one of them.

In the end, if I had a good solution for you as a native Linux app, I
would have given it to you. I didn't. I really wish I did, but...

With best regards,
Mark

I can appreciate where you're coming from here, and don't disagree that
looking at applications on other environments is a good way to gauge
what might be useful to develop on Linux. However, I don't think that
relying on Windows applications improves the state of Linux audio for
anyone.

Please, call me Will.

I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings, but I don't think it's productive to
second-guess my motives. I've been on the internet for a long time, and
I've seen a lot of flames. I don't know that most people would
characterize my response to your message as a flame. (On the other
hand, I guess a similar number of people would characterize "just use
Google" replies to a query as "flaming", so perhaps we're even after
all. :-)

Now we're completely OT for this (or likely any) list. In any case, I
will be more specific in the future when I am looking for Linux-native
software.
