Yes, this is beacuse SACD is OWN, not PCM, so you can't send it over
SPDIF. For the time being if you want to listen to SACD, its analogue out
only.

Its possible to convert PWN to 24bit/96kHz PCM on the fly, but you would
loose some quality (in theory).

IIRC SACD's are physically different from DVDs so you wont be ablke to
burn them. As sony also have a record label, I think they would call that
a "feature".
